Physical education teacher candidates plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with local state, and national standards to address the diverse needs of all students.

Artifact: Lesson Plan

Date: Spring 2016

Reflection: In PEP 304, I learned how to create an activity lesson for students in different ages and grade level. By knowing how to write a lesson plan, I can demonstrate standard three because I am able to make lesson plans for my physical education classroom when I become a teacher. As I teacher, it is very important to know how to write a lesson plans for all students.

Cognitive (understanding knowledge): During class, the student will have knowledge of how to pass a soccer ball, (by stepping even with ball on your weak foot and dominate foot over the ball while following through with inside of the foot), this will be shown by teacher observation.

Psychomotor (performance/demonstrates): During class, the Students will demonstrate how to pass a soccer ball, (using the proper form that was demonstrated in the beginning of class), this will be shown by successfully passing the ball to the wall or a partner 3 out 5 times.

Affective (interpersonal skills): During class, the students will encourage one another as they work together passing the ball between them, this will be shown by each student giving their partner a high and saying to each other good job after passing from one end of the gym to the other.

Safety Statement: Be award of your surroundings, don’t kick the ball hard or at someone, don’t walk in front of the ball while someone is kicking it, if someone ball roll next to yours politely give it back.

Lesson Content: Good morning everyone, today will be learning how to pass a soccer. Show of hands how many of you played soccer before? Good some of you might already know that there are many ways to pass a soccer such as outside of the foot, inside of the foot, knee, head etc, but we will focus on just using the inside of the foot. We will be performing three different activity using inside of the foot to pass the ball. First I will demonstrate the proper form of passing a soccer ball inside of the foot and trapping it, After I will ask for two volunteer to demonstrate. Before we start there are some safety and cues we will need to go over and make sure we are all listen well. First, when I say ball on your feet I want everyone to stop what they’re doing and step on the ball, not stomping on it either and listen to the instructor. Second, be award of your surroundings, meaning don’t pump into each other, watch out on coming ball and don’t hit the ball too hard or to anyone face. Third, encourage one another by give a high or say good job after. Last, have fun. Since we all now know how to pass inside of our foot, I would like everyone to get a partner. Does everyone have a partner? you and your partner will receive one soccer between the two of you and pass to one another using inside of the foot. When I give you the ball find a space in the gym, after feet on top of the ball not moving until I say so. When I say start I want everyone to pass back and forth while counting how many time a pass was made successfully. We will do that three times until the next activity…….everyone stop and bring in making a U in front of me. The next activity we are going to play is passing to each other while moving across one side of the gym to the next and passing the ball through the cone at the end of the gym. There will 2 goals (4 cones and 2 cones for each goal) set up on each side of the gym. With your partner you will head to one of the goals. When everyone is ready I will say go one at a time to each group passing from one end to the other. We will go through this 2 times maybe more if we have time. Any question?

Closure: Alright everyone good job, give each other’s high and pick up your ball bring in to me, make a U shape in front of me. Let’s take our heart by putting to fingers one your neck, find a pulse. When I say start, I want everyone to count their pulse and when I say stop remember the number and add zero to the number. Remember the number for your sheet at the end. Now I have few questions for you all what did who learn today? Can you pass the ball with outside your foot? How many how you had 3 successful pass between your partner? how about 10! 20! And last, did you all have fun?
